Craig Alexander announced retirement from Ironman, Ironman 70.3 and other formats still an option

After two rough years in 2013 an 2012 with finishes just outside Top 10 Craig Alexander multiple Ironman Hawaii Triathlon World Champion calls his long distance career on a professionell level ended.

According to local Australian media reoccuring back injuries forced this decision - alongside with his growing family. Alexander, who won in 2011 with age of 38 in race best time his last big Hawaiian title may continue his envolvement with this sport a pro in Ironman 70.3, coach and brand ambassador. However if "Crowie" continues or not - Ironman Hawaii lost one of his iconic athletes and a real sportman.
