Olympic triathlon races could be shortened to sprint format as ITU President Marisol Casado gives backing
According to a report by Insidethegames.biz, ITU president Marisol Casado, future Olympic triathlon races could be shortend to sprint distance from 1,5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run to 0.75-20-5km swim-run-bike. This could increase attractivity for tv distribution, versatility and a future relay event over a similar or shorter distance of this core endruance sport.
