IRONMAN Hawaii Triathlon 2014, die beste Übersicht zu TV und Internet-Livestream

Der IRONMAN Hawaii Triathlon 2014 könnte zwei Profi-Triathleten aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum ganz oben auf dem Podium sehen. Für alle Daheimgebliebenen bieten sich erneut zwei Übertragungsoptionen an. Die World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) streamt einmal mehr auf www.Ironman.com, bevor am 15. November die mehrfach mit einem Emmy Award ausgezeichnete NBC-Reportage im us-amerikanischen Fernsehen läuft.

Das dritte Programm im hessenfernsehen schaltet sich ab ca. 23:55 Uhr dazu und übernimmt parallel zur Distribution im Internet die Ausstrahlung bis ca. 3:30 Uhr am Sonntagmorgen.

Der Hessische Rundfunk plant neben dem Weltbild mit einer eigenen Live-Kamera den Athleten aus Deutschland auf den Fersen zu sein und auch die ein oder andere Rennsituation aus deutschem Blickwinkel einzufangen.

Moderation und Interviews erfolgen durch Ralf Scholt, der Kommentar kommt von Dirk Froberg, der durch den 1. Ironman-Weltmeister aus Deutschland, Thomas Hellriegel (1997) Unterstützung erfährt. Der ein oder andere zugeschaltete Überraschungsgast ist ebenfalls fest eingeplant - wenn die Technik über viele tausend Kilometer mitspielt.

2014 IRONMAN Hawaii Triathlon World Championship - the winners listandeditor's hot picks

The Big Island of Hawaii, the largest island of this isolated island chain is facing the hottest september for likely 2 decades. If these conditions will still apperar on race day october 11th, the race strategy and chances of a few (very heavy or heat vulnerable) athletes may be impacted more than the usually hot-or-not, windy-or-calm, sunny-or-cloudy discussions leading up to the triathlon race of the races.
Ironman Hawaii will take place again on October 11th at South-West Coast of Big Island of Hawaii.

What is unique in this year's prediction? We've got two Kona rookies at the very top of the list. Both strong athletes with background in Olympic triathlon and more or less some pedigree and results. Another notable change is an all European podium. Reason is the depth of talent and quality of young athlete developing systems in European federations.

Blame us, for dropping or hyping some athletes without proper public reasoning. That's the way it works for us.
